This blog is about my car, a Mercedes 280 SL from 1985. I am not a professional mechanic but have had some old cars through the years which had to be repaired from time to time. There is always small things that can be done on an old car like this one so I've created this blog so that other people can see what I'm doing (or what I shouldn't have done). Feel free to comment and please leave a little note that you've been here.

Hello Peter,
ReplyDeleteThank you agaqin for all the time and effort you put into sharing your project. I would like to contact you more directly. Our current restoration is of an european 280 sl from 1985. I would also like to convert the mechanical CIS to electronic. So I have been reading your posts with great interest and appreciation. If this message gets to you, please send me an e-mail at osprey2014@juno.com.
Thanks,
John
What brand are those LED's that you're converting your dash illumination with?
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that variety on the sites that I've sourced parts from.
Regarding the MegaSquirt conversion, congratulations on a timely and cleanly executed job!
Mine has been dragging on for a few years now...
I bought them from a Swedish firm, I will see if I can find some links to the firms and post them here.
